  1. Just a quick note, Tove Jansson was indeed Finnish but she belonged to the Swedish speaking minority in Finland and the Moomin books were originally written in Swedish. And they are not really hippos, they are Moomins 😉 Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed it and I would say that some of the other Moomin books are even better.
