Bad jokes, boy we love them. Robert Altman’s real life final movie was about the fictional final episode of A Prairie Home Companion and all of the people involved with the beloved Garrison Keillor radio show. Unlike the real show, this involved an angel and a real Guy Noir walking around, but somehow that made it feel even more grounded to the guys as they took comfort in the comforting sounds of county music and puns.
The Immortals return and that includes Adam from his week of interdimensional kidnapping! Once they settle down from his adventure, they get into the insightful (or pretentious?) Paul Thomas Anderson film, Magnolia. (They do note when they start talking about spoilers.) They learn whether The Strokes hold up 10 years later, whether Vatrushka is a pastry or a roll, whether Pedro can focus on The Knife’s version of Heartbeats, whether a children’s book can be more upsetting than one about The Crusades and then it’s time for THE PARADISE. Get excited!
