Episode #70 — Alien / L’Eau Rogue / Boldo Leaf / Life in a Northern Town / Gargling with Jelly / Dae Jang Geum

Alien podcast review

Another ten episodes down, 931 to go! This week the Immortals continue to try to find Bethany in the Old God’s dimension and watch Sarah’s pick for The List: A Few Good Men. Episode #55 — Rain Man / Garbage / Sunflower Seed / Streets of Philadelphia / The Woods of Windri / Little Dorrit

Rain Man podcast review

You will hear them discuss Steven Spielberg’s darker film and how he handles the tone, the technology and Tom Cruise.

Episode #29 — Magnolia / Is This It? / Vatrushka / Heartbeats / There Will Be Wolves / The Paradise

Magnolia podcast review

The Immortals return and that includes Adam from his week of interdimensional kidnapping! Once they settle down from his adventure, they get into the insightful (or pretentious?) Paul Thomas Anderson film, Magnolia. (They do note when they start talking about spoilers.) They learn whether The Strokes hold up 10 years later, whether Vatrushka is a pastry or a roll, whether Pedro can focus on The Knife’s version of Heartbeats, whether a children’s book can be more upsetting than one about The Crusades and then it’s time for THE PARADISE. Get excited!
